Podcast
So I have downloaded a podcast. I had done this before but I followed one of the links for an educational podcast for designer types. This actually ended up being really boring and I closed out of it pretty soon after listening but I could see us offering pod or vod casts maybe of our computer classes or maybe how to use some of the databases. Even offering a podcast of a speaker or a meeting would probably be well received.
My Media Mall and the NPL website
My Media Mall is pretty cool! I found a book and downloaded it to my ipod. Im excited to see how the ipod at the gym technique will fair with an audiobook.
As far as the website, I like it but it has changed so much since its initial inception both for better and for worse. I do admit there are occasions when things seem difficult to find but in terms of our resources and what we put out there, its incredible all that you can access and take away from our site. Staff put a great deal of time and effort into making sure our resources and offerings are available. We truly are a spectacular library both in the real and virtual world and offer EVERYTHING to our patrons. I will be working with Eric to work on ways to streamline our site for better usability in the upcoming year. Go NBPL!

wiki
I uploaded to the wiki some images maybe someone could use. As far as any factual info i could offer i was unsure as to what i would want to put out there. I do use wikipedia and trust its information for the most part because unless something was incorrect or really important i dont see why someone would bother to put it out there. Thats what i think.
oh well.
oh well.
mmm... delicious!
Ok, I was inspired by the delicious name to bookmark a site I like to utilize: the daily plate. Helpful if you ever wanna watch what you eat (to reach goals or for curiosity). It also has very comprehensive list of calorie burning activities that you can log as well. Find out how many calories you burn bathing the dog or other common (or not so common activities.. ie: airplane repair). enjoy!

Social Networking Activity
I already have experience with both Facebook and Myspace. Because of this I decided to sign up for and try LinkedIn. This site was pretty neat; it allowed me to join a group of professionals will similar skills and intrests. I can ask professional questions when I have trouble or bounce ideas off others. In addition, looks like there are some nice networking/job seeking resources that could be worked out of here too. Pretty cool, I'm sure a link to this site could be good for members of the community.
Flickr Activity
I like flickr a lot! I have a personal account I use on occasion to share with family and friends, or just for me. I find it also a great resource for ideas and reference material. Everything is here... even recipes.. search for a cake, find a yummy picture and often how to make it. I recently got some inspiration for the animals I rendered to become part of the YS summer reading log. Its endlessly inspirational.. at least for me, it is a good place to start on an idea.. people photograph everything!
The library should post pictures on the site as a way to showcase our offerings an events. Could even be instructional, honestly, I see endless uses.

Trojan Cat- the begining
So its and old photo but I found it recently on my computer and I think its kind of neat. Especially, because if you look carefully in the background you can see Manny the cat... maybe a source of inspiration?
